Florida Bettors Can Once Again Place Mobile Sports Bets
Seminole Gaming Launches Limited Mobile Sports Betting in Florida
Seminole Gaming, along with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, has announced the relaunch of mobile sports betting through Hard Rock Bet on a limited basis. This relaunch comes ahead of the in-person betting that is set to begin at the tribe’s casinos in Florida in early December. This announcement marks a significant step forward in the state’s gambling industry, following the approval of legislation that legalized mobile sports betting in May 2021.
Customers who previously placed bets with Hard Rock in 2021 are now able to participate in the early-access program for mobile sports betting. These customers can download the Hard Rock Bet app and log in with their existing credentials to start placing bets. It is important to note that sports bettors must be physically located in Florida and be at least 21 years old in order to participate.
After facing legal challenges and temporary shutdowns, the Seminole Tribe is now moving forward with plans to offer in-person sports betting and other casino games at their various properties in Florida. The games will debut at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa on December 8th, followed by launches in South Florida on December 7th, and at other locations in the following days.
Furthermore, as part of an early-access program, customers who signed up for Hard Rock’s Unity program by November 6th can also gain access to the mobile sports betting app. Those who signed up for Unity after November 6th will need to visit a Hard Rock or Seminole casino to earn Unity points by playing live casino games in order to gain access to the app.
The launch of mobile sports betting through Hard Rock Bet marks a significant development in the gambling landscape in Florida. With in-person betting set to commence in December, the Seminole Tribe is at the forefront of the state’s rapidly evolving gaming industry.
